TAPMAPZ LLC is a company that focuses on the coordination of PROACTIVE Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT). We service the New York City area, mainly Queens and Brooklyn, with plans to expand to the other three boroughs as well as Nassau and Suffolk County in the near future. TAPMAPZ LLC was created to introduce interventions to the NEMT field to address the barriers preventing patients from getting to and from their medical appointments.

Over the past several years working as a social worker in the different New York City and Long Island communities, our founder came across one constant complaint. Patients reported that they had major issues with transportation to and from their medical appointments. Most patients reported that they would rather pay for transportation than utilize their NEMT benefits because of the poor quality service. Others reported missing multiple appointments because of the lack of attention to trip details from the transportation providers. There are also patients who are eligible for NEMT services but are unaware that the service exist.

TAPMAPZ LLC was created to address the social barriers to NEMT services, increasing the likelihood of patients getting to and from their medical appointments safely and zealously, hence the acronym TAPMAPZ; Transporting All Patients to Medical Appointments Promptly and Zealously. We will introduce a proactive model replacing the old ineffective reactive approach, that waits for patients to report their issues; by then it is often too late for them to be addressed. TAPMAPZ LLC will conduct a comprehensive assessment, taking into consideration the medical, social as well as the transportation factors that can affect NEMT. Each transportation referral will be coordinated individually, addressing specific needs, with the goal of providing quality service while increasing medical compliance and reducing appointment no-shows.
